- and increasing food safety by modernizing the protection, packing and reusability (i.e. once opened up) of our products;

In order to be able to provide our customers with high-quality and safe products, we guarantee product safety (in terms of food health, animal health and quality) by means of regulations, applying good production and hygienic practices, compliance with environmental protection standards and requirements, auditing and inspections (whose results are documented).
We demonstrate reasonable and due diligence in providing for all resources required for production in compliance with the quality, food safety and environmental protection requirements. In addition, we are in the process of implementing and operating a selective (i.e. recycling-enabled) waste collection scheme across all areas of our company.

Kométa puts high priority on promoting modern nutrition concepts by using exclusively high-quality raw materials for its products.
Thanks to our company's continuous development efforts, Kométa products fit well in healthy and diverse diets.
Not only do Kométa products represent excellent quality, they are also free of added glutamate, soy and gluten (while selected products are free of lactose and dairy protein as well).
The meat content of our products is nearly best-in-class with figures reaching up to 90%. Meat content is in close relation with great taste and quality: the more meat a product contains, the more tasteful and healthy the product is and the less allergen it contains.

Kométa exercises extreme care and diligence in selecting its raw material suppliers and tries to maintain close partner relationship with them in long term. Kométa accepts only carefully selected raw material from its suppliers with whom Kométa has concluded a long-term cooperation agreement. Kométa's suppliers breed and feed pigs with natural food, mainly in the territory of Hungary, in strict compliance with animal health regulations and subject to ongoing veterinary audits.
Kométa also operates its self-owned pig breeding site. This site not only hits but exceeds national standards and breeds pigs that provide higher yield and have more tasteful and more tender meat than common species. Raw materials are processed under strict health regulations and under the supervision of Kométa's experts.

Kométa conducts its business with environmental protection and the interests of future generations in mind. We pay special attention to not only making our product packaging attractive but also reducing the amount we are using of it, as well as to handling production waste materials appropriately.New investment projects
The total value of all investment projects accomplished at Kométa in the past 10 years exceeds HUF 8 billion with such projects covering renovation of the salami maturing plant, extension of the slaughterhouse's capacity and other significant upgrades and improvements made in the packaging plant. Our factory has also seen multiple environmental and energetic improvements.
